2-on-2 at Hoop
Tactical Problem:  Move to open space to receive pass, defending against opponents to prevent them from scoring

Skill development: Movement, bounce pass, marking opponent, shooting

 
Teaching Points
Tactic 
  • Create space to receive pass, avoid defender
  • Defending a player and/or space
Skill 
  • Lateral movements, pivoting, passes (chest & bounce), shot
  • Player-on-player defense, cutting off passing lanes

    Organizational Points
    • Same as 2-on-2 alley game
    • 2 on 2 alley game at hoop, one team attacks while other defends, switch every goal. Lay ups only.
    Extensions 
    • Require a certain amount of passes before score. Count points for consecutive passes, plus points for scoring.
